New Simavi campaign

This week Simavi launched a new campaign in the Netherlands to increase awareness about the importance of WASH and SRHR.

The message is simple and clear: safe drinking water, hygiene, use of sanitary facilities and safe pregnancies are ‘the cure for poverty’. Because we can stop preventable diseases, reduce mortality and morbidity rates, and boost social and economic development, by tackling WASH and SRHR issues.

Simavi believes that basic health is the first step out of poverty. People can only go to school, work and contribute positively to their community, when they’re healthy. That is why we are working towards making basic health accessible and available to all. Structurally.
