The Commonwealth Youth Gender and Equality Network (CYGEN) forum openend in Maltha on 13 May 2015 and runs for five days.
Young experts gather together in a learning environment to identify key issues affecting and concerning youth. Through workshops, discussions and training sessions, they discuss common challenges and priorities and decided on recommendations for action.
The network has been created to provide a platform for young experts on a range of gender-related areas to develop knowledge in a variety of topics, including on various gender issues, on effective advocacy, and on further practical skills.
Simavi’s Project Officer SRHR, Milena Bacalja Perianes, was selected as an Australian delegate and SRHR expert. You can find more information about the CYEN here.
