Today Loan Liem, senior programme officer SRHR at Simavi, is sharing the promising results of one of our projects in India at the International Conference on Family Planning. Through effective use of community scoring cards, the use of contraceptives in the area almost doubled. Read more about the project and its results here.
Beth Fredrick is the Executive Director of the Advance Family Planning initiative. In nine countries, regionally and globally, Advance Family Planning works with government and civil society leaders to increase funding and foster a supportive policy environment for family planning. Previously Beth worked with the International Women’s Health Coalition as their Executive Vice President and with the Guttmacher Institute, ao as Senior Vice President. We spoke with her at the ICFP.
Next week more then 3000 SRHR experts from all around the world will unite at the 4th International Family Planning Conference in Indonesia to discuss and shape solutions for the unmet need for contraceptives. A Dutch and Indonesian view on SRHR issues
Lambert Grijns is the Dutch Ambassador for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) & HIV/AIDS and Director of the Social Development Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We talked to him about his motivation and achievements as well as his ambitions and the challenges he sees.
September 28th 2015 is marked as Global Day of Action for Access to Safe and Legal Abortion. We talked to Mirawati (Mira) about this topic. Mira is Director of IHAP, one of Simavi’s local partners in Indonesia working on the improvement of women’s rights, including sexual and reproductive rights.
