Join Simavi at Women Deliver 2016

From 16 – 19 May, more than 4000 Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) experts from all around the world will unite at the world’s largest conference on the health rights and wellbeing of girls and women: Women Deliver. Simavi will share its expertise, knowledge and experience on SRHR in general and more specifically on Menstrual Hygiene Management.

We are looking forward, together with our partners from the Dutch SRHR Alliance, to advocate for SRHR for all and to learn from other professionals in the field of SRHR at this important event.

Menstrual Hygiene Management

Simavi believes that improving menstrual health is a vital step to a healthy life for women and girls around the world. Part of the solution is to address cultural believes that form barriers to open discussion and social norms that lead to unhealthy practices and restrictions during menstruation. Practical solutions are to provide information and create access to clean water and sanitation and hygiene facilities, such as toilets and sanitary pads. In its programmes Simavi combines WASH and SRHR approaches to realise structural improvements in menstrual health of girls and women.

Booth

Simavi will open the “Let’s talk about Menstrual Hygiene” studio at the conference. Please come along and share your ideas about Menstrual Hygiene with us in booth 004 in Hall 2C!
