Our mission is a healthy life for all. We strive for a world in which women and girls are socially and economically empowered and pursue their rights to live a healthy life free from discrimination, coercion and violence.

We focus on 2 themes: Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).

Our organisation

Simavi is an ambitious, growing development organisation with its headquarters in Amsterdam and local representation in most countries where we work. The organisation is characterized by an agile, non-hierarchical structure, in which cooperation takes place in teams of various specialists. Simavi has an open, innovative and dynamic organisational culture. Our managing director Ariette Brouwer leads the organization of around 50 employees in Amsterdam and more than 100 partners in the countries were Simavi operates.
